The magazine first came out in Russia in 1998 and soon set a new standard of fashion photography and journalism. Over the eighteen years, the best of the best worked with the Russian Vogue: photographers Helmut Newton, Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchelier, Mario Testino; models Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Natalia Vodianova; interviewees Renata Litvinova, Diana Vishneva and Chulpan Khamatova.
The Nude in Vogue exhibition at the Pushkin Museum displayed best nude portraits of fashion models over the entire history of Vogue among world-famous masterpieces. Multimedia Art Museum hosted several exhibitions over the years, including Dance in Vogue about fashion in ballet, and Russia in Vogue on the influence of the Russian culture and arts on fashion.
Since 2008 in Moscow and 2012 in St. Petersburg, Vogue has held Fashion’s Night Out, an annual festival of fashion and shopping, when Vogue readers can enjoy gifts and surprises, meet with their favorite designers, models and stylists in the best boutiques and department stores.
